Hello, I’m Natalie Stoliarchuk and I am from Inman, SC. My initial introduction to design happened in my earliest year of high school during a visit to a local career center.
To me, design means many things now. It was once simply a method to make things look beautiful, and in many ways, I still believe this to be a core component of design. However, beyond visual appeal lies the core of good design: communication. My design process often begins with questions. I ask myself why something needs to either be created or redesigned and then try to dig further. I brainstorm and reach out to others, looking for secondary opinions and work towards the opportunity of testing implementations.
I smooth the edges, stare endlessly for possible improvements, and work to finish. This either leads to something wonderful or a revisit to certain portions. I believe that nothing can be made perfect by human efforts but firmly believe that it is in our imperfections that we find our strength, uniqueness, and innovations.
