About me

My creative process is really simple: I draw. I draw things pertaining to the project, but I also draw things not pertaining to the project.

This dumping of information helps me filter between necessary and unnecessary ideas. Drawing and doodling is my way of remembering. If I’m drawing something not pertaining to the project, I’m usually thinking of something internally. I will usually draw important things I find in my research.

I think it is especially important to draw in a physical sketchbook, because the result is so much different than going immediately to a computer to start a project. With a sketchbook, there is a connection that is different than a computer—you don’t need to charge a sketchbook. You don’t need to think about storage space on a sketchbook (unless you run out of pages!). You can just grab a pencil or pen or whatever, and draw.
